I too share a mystical and borderline romantic relationship with my automobile. It is after reading this that I'm thankful I have a spotless driving record. You did an amazing job personifying "girlfriend" in fact, I don't believe inanimate objects have never sounded this sexy. I judge a good story by how it affects me when I've finished reading it. You have so artfully and sentimentally described your relationship with your car that it reinforces my own feelings toward mine. And now I must leave you to go check on her. Congratulations on the 1st place finish for the "first time" contest. You deserve it.

Personification of Girlfriend is great. "I pull back her eyelids..." The pace also drives the poem from hot to disaster. It's a breakup poem worthy of love.
